Kestrel Network is not a rental marketplace. It is intended to help guests reach independent operators' own websites. FleetKestrel is not yet providing working bookings through this directory. We're preparing a new way to discover independent vehicle operators, starting with Chicago. Explore the concept today; member listings and booking discovery are not yet available.
Planned checks: business identity · domain ownership · insurance document on file — how verification is designed
Illustrative demo — Kestrel Network discovery, in the moment it matters
The problem with marketplaces is the middle. You want a specific car from a real operator, not a listing that could be anyone. Kestrel Network is being designed as the index. The operator's site is the store.
A branded site, a clean booking flow, your own terms — none of it matters if no one can find you. The hardest part of leaving a marketplace was never the technology. It was discovery.
Kestrel Network is planned as a curated directory of independent operators, searchable by city, for renters looking for an alternative to the marketplace experience. It is not live yet.
The intent: a renter who finds an operator here goes to the operator's own site and books there, on the operator's terms. Kestrel Network is not designed to handle the reservation, payment or agreement.
Search a city, open an operator's profile, then leave and book on their site. Kestrel Network is not designed to touch the reservation.
Planned search features include discovery by city, vehicle make, and model. Availability and launch timing have not been announced. Results are intended to be operators, not marketplace listings.
The Network is being designed around an operator verification process. Listings will not be represented as verified unless the applicable checks have been completed.
Planned: one click leaves Kestrel entirely. The reservation, payment, and agreement would happen on the operator's own platform, under their terms.
Our interactive Chicago map is a demonstration of the experience we're building — not a map of verified member locations or available vehicles.
On a marketplace, the platform reduces some of the uncertainty of dealing with an unfamiliar operator — you're renting through that marketplace, with the trust that context implies. Go independent, and that context disappears. The renter is choosing you, specifically, often for the first time.
The Network is being designed around an operator verification process. Listings will not be represented as verified unless the applicable checks have been completed.
Planned checks:
Verification, once operating, would confirm these specific items — it is not a guarantee of coverage adequacy, licensing status, or any particular rental outcome. Kestrel Network is a discovery directory, not a party to any rental agreement.
Operators: this is the planned bar to appear. It is not a ranking, and it is not a Kestrel guarantee to the renter.
Planned search features include discovery by city, vehicle make, and model. Availability and launch timing have not been announced.
Meet McKestrel Motor Cars. McKestrel Motor Cars is a fictional operator created to demonstrate what a member's own website could look like. It also illustrates the branded fleet websites Kestrel Private is designed to deliver.
A boutique doesn't carry every bag that exists — it carries the ones that earned the shelf. Kestrel Network is being designed the same way: listings are intended to meet a defined standard before they're shown to a renter. No listings exist yet.
Verification
Discovery
Planned: verification before it reaches a renter — business identity, domain ownership, and insurance documentation checked first.
← Close
Planned: found by city, not by ad auction — browsable by renters looking for an independent alternative, not stumbled into.

Kestrel Private, Tailored
Direct Booking
Planned: booked on the operator's own site, like the McKestrel demonstration, not a listing on a shared marketplace page.
← Close
Planned: there's no house between you and the piece itself. When a renter clicks through from Kestrel Network, they would leave entirely: the reservation, payment, and agreement would happen on the operator's own site, under their own terms.
